Construction Management

Project:
San Jose International Airport Terminal A

Client:
City of San Jose

Terminal A is a two-level, 11-gate airport project for the city of San Jose. The building is comprised of 11 aerobridges, one at each gate extending to the tarmac, a baggage claim building and a six level three-winged parking garage connected to the baggage claim building. The exterior was clad with granite slabs. The terminal building also accommodates offices for airport operations on the mezzanine floor. This project included a $13 million temporary Butler Design building to accommodate five fates for the operation of American Eagle and other smaller airlines.

TRS provided construction management support as well as civil, structural, mechanical and electrical construction inspection services. Project management support included claims analysis, field engineering, document control, scheduling, cost engineering (using Primavera and Aldergraf systems), and checking design for code compliance. TRS also coordinated with the City of San Jose and American Airlines representatives in order to efficiently complete the project.
