Project:
Fiber Optics Communication and Cable Installation Projects
Client:
City of Mountain View, California
 This
fiber optics communication and cable installation project consists of
approximately 300 excavation permits, installation of manholes, vaults,
appurtenances and placement of miles of conduits through the City of
Mountain View. In addition, coordination with more than ten (10) telecommunication
companies is required.
TRS provided plan checking, processing and issuance of Excavation Permits
and construction inspection support for approximately 450 locations
within the City of Mountain View. Projects included pole replacements,
aerial facilities and antennas, installation of conduits, coaxial cable,
vaults and pedestals all related to the system rebuild. TRS also provided
staff augmentation and support for City of Mountain View Public Works
Department, Operations Division to ensure continuity and follow-up on
various franchises, encroachment agreements and excavation permits for
fiber optic communication systems placement.
Our service insures continuity in processing applications, reviewing
plans, and preparing encroachments agreements and excavation permits
in an expeditious manner. A partial list of projects TRS was responsible
for include:
- AT&T Broadband and Internet Services
Provided plan checking, engineering review and approval of plans for
submittal to the City of San Jose for permitting purposes. This is
a 4-5 year program to upgrade and rebuild a citywide cable system.
- Fiber Optics Communications:
Plan Reviews, Permitting and Construction Inspection
Currently providing various telecommunication projects consisted of
plan checking and reviews involving the installation of conduits,
manholes, vaults and related appurtenances for fiber optics systems
facilities within the City of Mountain View.
